Vincent Damon Furnier aka Alice Cooper was born in 1948 and is one of the creators of what is called Shock Rock and was a pioneer in helping shape Heavy Metal music.
Notably it was his band that was called Alice Cooper and Vincent only took the name for his own when the band announced they had split in 1975 when he went solo.
Alice went on to make some of the best metal records, with 19 solo albums (26 in total with his bands) and some of the most memorabilia concerts ever, influenced by horror movies.
Cooper has sold over 100 million albums worldwide and according to a recent interview he hasn’t finished yet.
