    Selling over 50 million albums since the mid ‘80s, Simply Red is a British pop/soul band formed by Mick Hucknall. Their cover of Harold Melvin and the Blue Notes’ single “If You Don’t Know Me By Now” debuted at number 1 in 1989.

    In 1991, Simply Red’s fame peaked after the release of their fourth album “Stars”, certified 12 x Platinum in the UK. They also achieved two Brit awards, each for Best British Group in 1992 & 1993. After disbanding in 2010, they reformed in 2015 and continue to record and tour.
