Born in 1965, Slash (real name Saul Hudson) is a British American musician and songwriter. He is best known for his success in the late 1980s / early 1990s as the lead guitarist in the American hard rock band Guns N’ Roses. He then co-founded the group Velvet Revolver after his departure from Guns N’ Roses in 1996.
Receiving critical acclaim for his wild guitar-playing skills, Slash has been ranked the second best electric guitar player by Time, and his "Sweet Child O’ Mine" guitar riff was placed as the no.1 greatest riff of all time. As if that wasn’t enough, Slash has released 3 solo music albums, and re-joined Guns N’ Roses in 2016. Not bad!
